Lounge
The sitting room in the cottage is a lovely cosy room with a large sofa and easy chair positioned in front of the log burning stove.
There is a smart TV with freesat channels, I player and Netflix as well as other catch up TV.
There is a large TV with Freesat channels and a DVD player with a large selection of films available to watch. There are plenty of books and maps for you to read, and lots of literature about things to do in the local area and the North Pennines. The sitting room also has a computer for you to use, displayed on the TV, and the broadband is free.
We provide firelighters, a basket of logs, some coal and kindling, so you will are able to get the fire lit when you arrive.
Kitchen
The kitchen/dining room is a large light room at the rear of the cottage and has a big antique dining table for you to enjoy meals at. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, Smeg fridge/freezer, microwave, and a dishwasher, whilst off the room is a small utility with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
We supply a welcome pack of essentials so that even if you arrive after the shop has shut you can make a drink and have a bite to eat.
The dining area has an old feature fireplace which is cheerily lit with coloured lighting.
Weardale Cottage is a delightful self catering cottage situated in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), in the charming village of St John’s Chapel in Upper Weardale.
